    The latest of Mathewsons’ monthly classic car auctions took place at its Pickering base on June 1, and once again boasted a catalogue full of desirable classics. The consignments ranged from sub-£1000 bargains right through to luxury prewar machinery, but most notable was the wide choice of low-mileage ‘everyman’ classics.

    The Mathewsons sale of March 23, 2019 saw a wide array of vehicles under the hammer, from a pair of Bedford TKs to a Rover P6 Estoura by Crayford and a pair of Ford Escort MKIVs. Attendance was especially strong, owing in no part to the presence of a film crew recording for a new UKTV History classic car series called Bangers and Cash.

    After a successful February sale, Mathewsons is looking ahead to its next sale which takes place at its usual venue on Saturday March 23. At the time of writing, 50 cars had already registered for sale, with a strong number still awaiting advertisement in the online catalogue.
