Ken Piper, who hails from Portsmouth and is now in his late eighties, has been a very successful works driver, winning many races, rallies and trials with Messerschmitts (and other cars) during his long career.
Over 50 Messerschmitts from the UK, Holland and Germany, will be arriving in convoy at 10.15am to assemble in the grounds of the National Motor Museum, including some very rare and valuable examples. Many of the 17 Tigers that were originally sold in the UK will be attending and with TGs (four wheels) at circa £100k+ and KRs (three wheels) at circa £25-30k, there will be over £2.5 million or more of micros on display!
Also on display will be Messerschmitt memorabilia and items from Ken’s own racing career. Beaulieu’s visitors will have a unique opportunity to talk to current owners, get close to these very unusual cars and maybe even sit in one.
The Messerschmitt rally can be seen as part of a visit to the whole Beaulieu attraction
