Inaugural Concours des Légendes set for 19–21 June – and we’ve got five pairs of tickets to give away!

A new classic car event aiming to redefine the traditional concours format will make its debut this summer at Wilton House, near Salisbury, bringing together some of the world’s most remarkable automobiles and the personalities behind them.

The inaugural Concours des Légendes will take place from June 1921, 2026, combining the elegance of a traditional concours with the atmosphere of a cultural festival. It will be hosted at the historic home of William Herbert, 18th Earl of Pembroke, who is a massive car enthusiast and has a collection that includes a Mustang, an E-Type, a Nissan Skyline and an Low Chassis Invicta S Type.

Among the headline attractions is Owners’ Stories, a new initiative sponsored by Hagerty. Built around the theme “Ordinary Cars. Extraordinary Lives”, the programme invites owners to share the personal histories of vehicles that have become part of family traditions, epic road trips, restorations and lifelong passions.

The event will also feature a distinguished line-up of automotive personalities and speakers. Former Formula One driver Stefan Johansson, legendary Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni, television presenter Wayne Carini, designers Peter Stevens and Frank Stephenson, Le Mans winner Richard Attwood, Bloodhound SSC figures Andy Green OBE and Richard Noble OBE, collector Nick Mason, engineer Allen Millyard, historian Karl Ludvigsen and author Maurice Hamilton are among those scheduled to appear across the weekend.

One of the most historically significant Porsche 917s in existence, chassis 013/034, will also be displayed. Presented by owners Mark and Aubrey Finburgh, the Gulf-liveried racer competed in the 1970 World Sportscar Championship with JW Automotive and later became closely associated with Steve McQueen’s iconic Le Mans film.

On Sunday, the event will broaden its appeal with a Supercar Drive-In featuring machinery spanning generations, from the Lamborghini Miura, which celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026, to modern hypercars from Pagani, Koenigsegg and other leading manufacturers. The day will conclude with a grand departure at 4.30pm as the cars leave the Wilton estate in convoy.

Alongside the displays, visitors can enjoy panel discussions, workshops, book signings and live acoustic music, creating what organisers hope will become one of the most distinctive new fixtures on the classic car calendar.
