Magnificent MGs, terrific Triumphs and luscious Lotus models – 1000’s of stylish, rare and classic cars will be polished to perfection ready to take part in this annual summer spectacular for the whole family.
As one of Britain’s best and most popular classic car shows, this event, in the sumptuous setting of Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire, showcases some of the finest makes and models of cars ever to have graced Britain’s highways and byways.
Around 2500 classic and performance cars will be on display over the weekend of June 2 and 3, featuring nearly 80 of Britain’s top classic and performance car clubs including Jaguar, Bentley, Jensen, BMW and a host of vehicles spanning the 20th century.
This year’s show will be organised for the first time by Lincolnshire-based media and events business Mortons Media Group, and will again include the huge Cheshire autojumble and ever-popular car mart. Two hundred stalls featuring specialist and general trade stands will keep visitors entertained, and youngsters are catered for too, with light entertainment and children’s rides. Refreshments and a bar will make sure everyone is well fed and watered during their day trip to classic heaven.
Andy Kitchen, of Mortons – long-established magazine publishers and show organisers who bought this show and two other popular events from Cheshire Auto Promotions last year – said: “We are really looking forward to hosting this show for the first time. It has a reputation for being a friendly event with lots to see and do, and its date in the calendar in early June means the days will be long – and, we hope, sunny!
“It’s all looking good for a fascinating weekend for families to escape the hustle and bustle of 21st century life and step back in time to a more leisurely pace of life, when cars were more than just anonymous metal boxes for commuting!
“Mortons’ two other summer events at Tatton – the Classic American Stars & Stripes, held in the run-up to American Independence Day and the Passion for Power performance car show in August – will also offer superb days out in a glorious setting.”
Tickets for the highly anticipated show can be bought on the day costing £9 for adults, £3 for children (10 – 15yrs) with under 10s going free. Normal park entry charges apply. Gates open at 9.30am.
