We always eagerly await the next WB & Sons sale catalogue, and the varied and eclectic line-up for the October 26 sale proves why
Classics for all tastes and budgets are in abundance at WB & Sons’ next sale, with close-on 100 entries at the time of writing and more to be included.
Those entries are headlined by a striking white 1992 Corvette C4 Coupe – the 15,000-mile slice of American muscle looks to be a very tidy example, sports a manual gearbox and could be yours for £10,000–14,000. Those with more modest tastes may fancy a 65,000-mile 1996 MGF with a temptingly low £800–1200 guide, while a 63,000-mile 2007 Mazda MX-5 ‘NC’ is expected to fetch just £2000–3000 and an imported 2005 Honda Integra Type R is estimated at £10,000–14,000. Porsche fans may be drawn to a sought-after 1994 968 Clubsport, with its magazine history and exemplary condition equating to an £18,000–22,000 estimate, while a pair of ‘996’ Porsche 911s includes a 2002 facelift Carrera 2 Cabriolet guided at £10,000–14,000.
There are a wide range for candidates for those preferring something luxurious, too. A 2002 Rover 75 in full-fat Connoisseur spec and with the lovely V6 engine is guided at just £1500–2500, while both a 1979 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II and a 1981 example of its Silver Spirit successor carry no reserve, making them both tempting prospects. A very late 2005 example of the X100 Jaguar XK8 in coupe form looks superb on the 20-inch ‘Sepang’ wheels and carries a £6000–7000 estimate, and a 1998 X308 XJ8 looks a fruitful project for a predicted £1000–1500. For fans of older models, a 1965 Mk2 3.4 needs only minor reassembly and is guided at just £8000–10,000.
There are plenty of family-friendly offerings too, from a 1982 Mercedes S123 200T that boasts seating for seven and is estimated £6500–7500, to a 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX STi that’ll certainly make the school run exciting and is guided at £14,000–16,000. Rather more sedate is a 1958 Standard Pennant estimated at £4000–5000, while the 1982 VW T25 Campervan allows you to go straight from school to a weekend getaway, all for a predicted £2500–3500.
With no-reserve projects including a 1987 BMW E28 520 and a 1954 Consul, plus a 1976 Mk2 Escort rolling shell with a £4500–5500 guide, this sale really does have something for everyone.
