SWVA’s first auction of 2025 looks set to be a cracker, with classic cars and motorcycles spanning 90 years up for sale on January 30

Luxury cars are in abundance at SWVA’s first 2025 sale, including a 2003 Jaguar X350 XJ6 which looks sharp in Zircon Blue and has invoices totaling over £20,000, making its £1000–2000 estimate look like fantastic value. A 2007 TDVi example of its X358 facelift is also available, temptingly offered without reserve, while an older Jaguar in the form of a 1977 XJ-S pre-H.E. looks stunning in white over red, has been with the vendor since 1979 and will also sell without reserve.

A 1997 Rover 825 Sterling offers the leather-lined 800 experience with an immaculate interior befitting of its 35,000 miles – yours for an estimated £1000–1500 – while a Mercedes SL55 AMG offers style, luxury and 476bhp from its 5.4-litre V8, representing excellent value if its £7500–8500 estimate is realised. The prize for the most unusual luxury car, however, goes to the vast 1989 Cadillac Brougham Sedan, with seating for six and a fantastic red leather interior, expected to sell for £5000–6000.

Fans of British classics have plenty to choose from, including two MGB roadsters – the first a 1973 chrome bumper car in Mallard Green with a tempting £2000–3000 estimate, the second a 1978 Inca Yellow rubber bumper example with the same £2000–3000 guide – as well as a Mk3 Midget, while a 1981 Mini Clubman Estate looks superb in Bronze Yellow with bronze Slotmag wheels and is guided at a very reasonable £2000–3000.

A 1958 Austin A35 is a driveable classic brimming with potential and carrying a £1000–2000 estimate, while a 1980 Triumph TR7 Roadster is an extremely late example that includes history back to 1998 and all manner of useful spares, earning it a £2000–3000 guide price. Two Sunbeam Rapier S3As also feature, a 1962 Pale Grey example guided at £4500–5500, an Autumn Gold 1963 car expected to fetch £5000–6000, while a 1959 Morris Minor with a 1098cc engine upgrade and smart Trafalgar Blue bodywork could be yours for an estimated £2000–3000.

There are performance cars for all tastes too, a 2004 Porsche Boxster 2.7 standing out on account of its impressive 173,000 miles and reassuringly regular maintenance, earning it a £1500–2500 guide price. A 2001 Ford Mondeo ST24 looks sharp in Steel Blue and is one of just 142 remaining, making its £1000–1500 estimate look very tempting, while a 1995 VW Corrado VR6 Storm is one of just seven manual examples surviving and carries an £8000–9000 guide.
