SWVA’s second classic sale of 2025 has attracted the usual eclectic mixture of rare and popular classics to the firm’s base near Poole

Over 80 lots were listed for SWVA’s next sale at the time of writing, with viewing available on the Saturday and on the weekdays before the sale.

Luxury cars are plentiful, including a 1975 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I, resplendent in Athenian Blue and using its extensive service history to earn an £8000–10,000 guide price. More Crewe-built luxury comes in the form of a 1989 Bentley Turbo R with a vast history file boasting £70,000-worth of invoices – it could be a bargain if the £2000–3000 estimate is realised. Similarly regal luxury can be found in a 1966 Rover P5 3.0-Litre too, which appears very tidy and shows an (albeit unverified) 26,000 miles, justifying a £4000–5000 estimate, while a 1999 BMW E38 735i combines excellent condition and the rare 3.5-litre V8 to wear a £1500–2500 guide. In addition, a 1984 Daimler 4.2 showing just 44,000 miles carries a £2000–3000 guide, while those after a roomier Jaguar might fancy a 2003 XJ8 eight-seater limousine, estimated at £2500–3500.

There are sports cars for all tastes too. A rare 1973 Jensen Healey Mk1 cuts a dash in ‘triple black’ and earns a £4500–5500 guide, while an MG Midget built the year prior carries a £2500–3500 estimate. Octagon fans might also fancy the 1973 BGT in Harvest Gold, which appears tidy and useable, making the £3000–4000 guide look very reasonable. A 1967 Triumph TR4A IRS sports an engine rebuilt by specialist CCK Historic in 2017 and could sell for £10,000–12,000, while a Connaught Green 1992 Morgan Plus 4 has a genuine 29,000 miles from new and could be a great value entry to Morgan ownership with its £10,000–12,000 guide. There’s also a 1999 BMW Z3 with the 2.0-litre straight-six on offer, while a 1999 TVR Chimaera is unquestionably the best sounding of the lot, using its low 26,000 miles to justify an £11,000–13,000 estimate.

Family favourites turned classics are plentiful, including a 1970 Ford Cortina Mk2 1600 Deluxe with just one owner in its 53 years and a £4000–5000 estimate. A charming 1971 Fiat 500L in Giallo (yellow) Positano is unusual in being a UK-market car and shows just 41,900 miles, justifying a £7500–8500 guide, while a 1978 Rover P6 2000SC boasts new carpets and a stainless steel exhaust to earn a £4000–5000 estimate. A 1968 MG 1300 with just 78,000 miles to its name is sure to attract attention too, as is a 1976 Triumph Dolomite 1850HL, whose unrestored sandy yellow bodywork houses a brown velour interior – yours for as little as £2000–3000.
