The MMOC aims to promote the preservation and use of the post-war Morris Minor. The Morris Minor is famous for its innovative design, simplicity, durability and style, which has created fame and familiarity known the world over. The Club hosts more than 50 annual events throughout the year, with over 60 local branches throughout the UK – including the Isle of Man and Channel Islands – which each host monthly meetings.
The Club publishes a bi-monthly magazine, Minor Matters, which contains a varied range of features as well as regular slots for reports on events, branch activities and current issues affecting classic car owners. Membership of the MMOC also includes including technical advice from a well-informed technical officer, discounted RAC membership and a preferential exclusive insurance scheme. One particular aspect of the scheme which is proving popular is competitive insurance premiums for younger drivers. The MMOC also offers a spares service that primarily focusses on Series MM and Series ll vehicles.
Priorities for the MMOC at present included active encouragement for its Young Members’ Register, which is a fast developing group. Plans are in hand for the young members to have a stand at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show in November. Annual membership begins from £27 for UK members.
