The 355 by Evoluto is a reworking of Ferrari’s modern-classic Berlinetta, with modern upgrades and styling by Ian Callum

Evoluto Automobili, a British company specialising in the restoration and modernisation of classic supercars, has unveiled its Ferrari F355 ‘restomod’. Dubbed “Peak Analogue”, the 355 by Evoluto utilises a customer’s 355 donor car, before an extensive reengineering of the chassis infuses carbon fibre wherever possible, increasing torsional stiffness by 23 per cent, while reducing overall weight by 100kg.

The 3.5-litre V8 engine is stripped down and thoroughly updated, with over 200 new components – including ported cylinder heads, larger inlet valves, high-lift inlet camshaft, a bespoke exhaust and uprated cooling system – that equate to 420bhp and an 8500rpm redline.

With the “Peak Analogue” mantra in mind, the six-speed manual gearbox is refreshed to give as tactile a shift as possible, while Brembo GT six-piston slotted discs are fitted at the front, with 4 piston callipers at the rear, combined with uprated Brembo pads, lines and performance fluids. Optional carbon CCMR brakes are available for those fancying some track days, while the bespoke 19-inch forged alloy wheels are shod in sizeable (235/35/19 front and 305/30/19 rear) Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres.

Ian Callum’s design work builds on the Pininfarina original and sees the track widened, deeper cooling vents and re-shaped front splitter, as well as LED taillights and pop-up headlights. The bespoke interior boasts Alcantara trim throughout, from the steering wheel, to the dashboard and new bucket seats, but customers are encouraged to run rampant with customisation in terms of colours and materials.

Just 55 examples of the 355 by Evoluto will be built and while the price hasn’t been formally announced, the fact buyers must supply their own Ferrari F355 donor car suggests total cost will be deep into six figures.
