Bargain Cars magazine celebrates the UK’s most desirable, interesting or best-value cars is now on sale, following a boom in demand for modern classic cars and interesting older motors.

Bargain Cars is a monthly publication from Kelsey Media, publishers of Britain’s oldest hands-on car magazine, Car Mechanics. In association with CM, Bargain Cars magazine will focus on the buying and owning experience of high-quality used cars and modern classics, from 1990 onwards. It’s put together by a team of expert writers and photographers led by Peter Simpson, a former Car Mechanics editor.

“With so many people keeping an eye on the pennies at the moment, the popularity of modern classics and premium used cars has really started to rise,” said Phil Weeden, Kelsey Media’s Chief Operations Officer.

“Bargain Cars is all about beating the system. Owning desirable, aspirational and fun-to-drive models that don’t cost the earth to buy or run, yet have a huge following from enthusiasts and loads of specialist support.

“It’s not a magazine about running old bangers – far from it. It’s more about cars you may not have realised were so affordable or have become icons with age, suiting all budgets from £500 to five figures.”

The launch issue features a host pf features including how to enjoy a Jaguar XF for just £5k, why the Mercedes R129 SL is one to keep forever, how to buy a classic Mk1 Freelander, a road test on the legendary BMW 5-Series ‘E39’, a round-up of the best £3k estates and why the Mk2 Mazda MX-5 is as cheap as it’s ever going to be.

Bargain Cars is priced at £3.99 on the newsstand, but there’s also a special £19.99 launch subscription offer available for a limited time via shop.kelsey.co.uk, along with a facility to buy single issues.
