EcoMotive Clean Drive fuel and exhaust system cleaner brings claimed improvements in efficiency and emissions
Car engine additive manufacturer EcoMotive is suggesting that motorists make use of its flagship product – Clean Drive fuel and exhaust system cleaner – to ‘enhance the fuel efficiency and overall performance’ of their car.
According to EcoMotive, Clean Drive cleans diesel particulate filters, catalytic converters, inlet valves, fuel injectors and lambda sensors, removing unwanted deposits. It also suggests that by cleaning and lubricating the fuel system, an improvement in engine efficiency can be achieved.
While the effectiveness of some fuel additives is up for debate, EcoMotive’s offering is bolstered by independent testing at the University of Leicester. Here, two engines on fixed-bed dynos were compared, with the engine using Clean Drive returning ‘confirmed measurable gains’ in fuel economy.
EcoMotive states that Clean Drive has been ‘validated by UK universities in collaboration with both local and national governments, and the private sector’.
Other EcoMotive products include TyreFix puncture-sealing solution, Gask-it head gasket and radiator sealant, plus a range intended for workshop use under the Professional banner. All EcoMotive products are designed and manufactured in Great Britain.
