One of the UK’s leading classic car insurance brokers has announced that it will be celebrating classic car restorations by displaying a restored 1934 Mark II Aston Martin at the NEC Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration show.
Footman James will be paying homage to all those enthusiasts who restore vintage and classic vehicles. The restored Mark II Aston Martin affectionately known as ‘Jezabel’ will be on the Footman James stand at this year’s Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show from Friday 31st March- Sunday 2nd April 2017.
First registered on the 8th June 1934, Jezabel has a whole lot of history behind the wheel; from Concours gold, racing trophies, to being the proud winner of the Johor Singapore Vintage Grand Prix in 1962.
In July 2012, Jezabel was found after being stored in an Aldershot garage by her current owners who instantly began a restoration project and by 2014, Jezabel was restored to her full beauty just in time for her 80th Birthday. Since her restoration she has taken on the Rally of the INCAs in 2016, raised an amazing £12,513 for Prostate Cancer Research. Now, three years after restoration, Jezabel makes her mark at the NEC Practical Classics Restoration Show to share her story and show how passion, time and hard work can be so rewarding.
David Bond, Director at Footman James commented, “If you are at the show, come along to see Jezabel and admire this incredible story, her history and the history in the making. At FJ we love celebrating the stories behind the vehicles and this car is a real example of the enthusiasm, dedication and the adventures of owners up and down the country. If you have your own story we would love to hear about it”.
