Who remembers the Bedford Beagle? Essentially a Bedford HA van transformed into a family estate via rear side windows and a back seat, the Beagle conversion was carried out by Martin Walter Ltd of Folkestone.
This rare brochure shows an early version of the 1964-73 Beagle, describing the newcomer as ‘a car for all seasons, a car for all reasons’.
It was an effective transformation, creating a roomy four- or five-seater with plenty of luggage space behind the newly installed back seat.
