Rallying’s infamous Group B era to feature heavily at this year’s Race Retro next month at Stoneleigh Park
Rallying enthusiasts are in for a treat at Race Retro 2025, set to take place on February 21-23 at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, where the spotlight will be on the legendary Group B cars that defined rallying in the 1980s.
As part of the celebrations, the Rallying with Group B Hall of Fame in Hall 3 will showcase 20 Group B rally cars. Models set to feature include the Ford RS200 and Renault 5 Turbo, along with three Audi Quattros, including a stunning recreation of the 1986 Monte Carlo Rally car.
The MG Metro 6R4 is another major draw, with three examples set to be on display. A Clubman-spec example will be joined by two in international specification; a rare Metro DAM4100, developed by David Appleby, will also be on show.
Dave Kedward’s 1983 Lancia 037 will feature in full Safari specification, while the Audi Quattro Hill Climb car of Keith Edwards will join in extreme Pikes Peak trim. The ex-Russell Brookes Opel Manta 400 will also be on display, featuring its distinctive Andrews livery, along with the square-arched Nissan 240RS, a car that was campaigned by several famous drivers but ultimately never won a World Championship rally.
Cars will also be in action on the Live Rally Stage, with around 100 rally cars (including some Group B models) expected to take to the Stoneleigh Park grounds in anger over the weekend.
With so many iconic cars from rallying’s golden era on display, Race Retro 2025 is gearing up to be an unmissable event for rally fans.
