The organisers of Race Retro have announced a further roster of stars and cars for its 2018 event at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, from Friday, February 23 to Sunday, February 25.

The Motor Sport Hall of Fame Live will host the rare Connew Formula One car; 40 years after it raced, the team that built it originally restored the car to its former glory.

Built in a time when F1 was possible for those with big ambitions and small budgets, Peter Connew, a designer at Team Surtees, decided to build his very own F1 car in the 1970s.

Connew looked after the design work, Barry Boor – his cousin and a woodwork teacher by trade – made the bodywork and friend Roger Doran, was chief mechanic. Peter and Barry will share their story on the Motor Sport Live Stage.

They will join Triple British Touring Car champion Matt Neal and motorcycle champion Steve Parrish as guests of the show along with Motor Sport Hall of Fame inductee Brian Redman, two-time World Rally Champion Miki Biasion, and car designers John Barnard and Frank Dernie.
