The Mercedes-Benz Club will celebrate 60 years of the iconic W113 ‘Pagoda’ model as part of its activities at the Silverstone Festival on Friday, August 25

With the official Mercedes-Benz Club now in its 71st year, it has become a tradition for it commemorate its many vehicle model anniversaries with a parade lap around the world-famous Silverstone race circuit. This year up to 20 Pagodas will be on the track for everyone to enjoy, amongst a packed three-day event programme that features something for all ages, including the ‘Foodie Fest’, extreme stunt shows and chart-topping live music.

Club Marketing Director Satinder S. Grewal said; “Our enthusiastic Members are always very passionate to be part of this significant event and have this unique opportunity for a most memorable drive in their cars on the track!”

The Mercedes-Benz Club celebrations will form part of what is billed as the world’s largest historic motorsport weekend. Racing takes centre stage, with a provisional track timetable that includes the Masters GT Trophy, Masters Endurance Legends, HSCC Road Sports Trophy and Historic Formula Junior, to name but a few.

Other highlights set to feature include a Formula 1 fan zone, a charity fun run, a headline Iconic Auctioneers sale, plus thousands of classic and modern cars on display and in action throughout the weekend – including the Mercedes-Benz Club’s Pagoda SL celebration.
