Club car tickets sell out for Japfest 2024 at Silverstone in April as Classic Japfest gears up for its inaugural show at Goodwood in October
Club car ticket sales have now ended for Japfest 2024 at Silverstone, due to take place on Sunday 7th April, with attention now firmly fixed on the sister event Classic Japfest, staged at Goodwood Race Circuit on Sunday 6th October.
The new event will focus on Japanese classics from 2004 and older, so expect a quality line-up of standard and modified classics. And what a year it is to be celebrating such icons, with it being 40 years of the Mk1 Toyota MR2, 35 years of the Mazda MX5 and 25 years of the Honda S2000. It’s also the year the Mazda MX5 Owners’ Club marks its own 30th anniversary, so it’s hoped there will be a strong presence from them at both events.
The Silverstone event will cover Japanese cars of all ages, and there will be much emphasis on modified examples as well as track action with 20-minute track sessions open to the public and three drift demonstrations throughout the day courtesy of the Drift Kings.
Due to local noise regulations, Classic Japfest at Goodwood will largely be a static event, with iconic Japanese Classics on display throughout the venue. It is hoped that live action will feature but this will be subject to space. Both events should expect good club support as well as show and shine competitions, club awards and much more.
