Classic VW and Porsche parts specialist Heritage Parts Centre is lending its support to grass-roots motorsport by once again being named as title sponsors for the long-running Formula Vee race championship.
Powered by the trusty 1300 single-port engine, this single seater championship is celebrating its 52nd year in the UK. The cars rely on Beetle front suspension and gearboxes, produce in excess of 100bhp and top 100mph on the straights too, making for some pretty spectacular racing.
Heritage CEO Barney Dines said “Formula Vee is a real celebration of how good the air cooled VW engine is – it’s a natural partnership for us as a company who has built a reputation supplying top quality parts for these engines, and the vehicles too.”
