Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialist Evice launches Halcyon, its EV restomod brand

Rolls-Royce and Bentley restoration specialist, Evice, has joined the EV retromod market by launching Halcyon, a new brand focused on remastering classic Rolls-Royce models with bespoke design and advanced electric powertrains.

The brand’s first project, a 1978 Corniche, has been devised to showcase cutting-edge features while preserving the luxury associated with a classic Rolls. The company’s bespoke 800-volt electric platform delivers an estimated 500hp – over double the output of the original 6.75-litre L-Series V8 – and up to 250 miles of range. The drivetrain offers silent operation, while the electronically-controlled active suspension incorporates three driving modes – ‘Drive’, ‘Spirited’, and ‘Touring’ – to alter the driving experience while reportedly maintaining the trademark floaty ride comfort.

Limited to just 60 units, the cars are tailored to individual client specifications, with options for unique embroidery, artistic interiors, and exclusive paint finishes. Each commission is hand-built over 12 months, requiring over 1000 hours for body restoration alone. Two battery configurations are available: a standard 77kWh system providing over 200 miles of range, and an extended 94kWh option exceeding 250 miles, both supporting AC and DC rapid charging.

As you might expect, these cars won’t be cheap. The remastering service starts at £395,000 plus the donor vehicle and regional taxes. For those without a suitable car, Halcyon offers an acquisition service to seek out a donor. Production begins in late 2025, with first deliveries expected at the end of next year.
