The Volksworld Show is gearing up for its return in 2024, with a dedicated display of 1980s classics taking centre stage

A dedicated display marking the very best feature cars from the 1980s will have a starring role at the 2024 VolksWorld Show, taking place over the weekend of the 16/17 March at Sandown Park, in Esher, Surrey. The show will be packed with the very best air-cooled VWs and Porsches all weekend, while the Sunday will broaden the event’s appeal with a top flight selection of retro water-cooled VWs and Porsches.

The Back to ’89 display will be curated by Stu Betty, who explains on his blog on the Heritage Parts website: “The late 80s was a time when creativity and imagination ran riot. No two feature cars were the same, and there was an eclectic mixture of styles. The key was that VWs were plentiful and cheap to buy, run and above all modify.”

Aside from the very best retro air-cooled builds from the last 40 years, there will also be a dedicated Cal-Look Beetle display courtesy of the UK Cal Look Register, curated by Martin Greaves.

Aside from headline partner Heritage Parts Centre, VolksWorld 2024 will also be supported by Meguiars who are adding their name to the Car Park Show and Shine, which attracted some fabulous examples from Wolfsburg.

Expect loads more surprises revealed over the coming weeks. With the combined contributions from VolksWorld magazine, VWT, Classic Porsche and Performance VW magazines, VolksWorld Show 2024 looks set to be the best yet. For more information and to book tickets visit www.volksworldshow.com
