The Brighton National Speed Trials will return to the seafront again this year on Saturday September 1 when around 200 cars and motorbikes will take the timed run down Madeira Drive.

Len Wooller, Chairman of the organising Brighton and Hove Motor Club, said: “We’ve had a fantastic response already this year, and spectators will see a whole host of cars and bikes from the ultra-modern to the old classics.”

Spectators can watch from the start line right at the heart of the action, with tickets available on the day for £15, or via the website in advance at £12. Practice runs start at 8.45am, with the timed runs beginning at 11.15am.

Spectators will be able to follow competitors’ progress live from the start line, then through to the finish line via a 21m2 LCD screen.

The event will have a dedicated wheelchair/disabled viewing area, as well as a 70m raised viewing platform.

This year the Brighton Speed Trials are supporting The Chestnut Tree House Hospice for young children, who will be fundraising on the day and running a Scalextric competition.

If you would like to enter and be part of the action, entry forms, regulations and entry criteria are available now at Brighton and Hove Motor Club
