Fan favourite display confirmed for VolksWorld Show 2025 on 23 March at the South of England Showground
The VolksWorld Show, the annual event for air-cooled VWs, has a fresh home for 2025, taking place at South of England Showground in West Sussex on 23 March, 2025. But while the venue is new, a fan-favourite feature will return in the shape of the popular ‘Back to ’89’ display.
The ‘Back to ’89’ (B289) movement celebrates the UK Volkswagen scene of the late 1980s, highlighting the distinctive styles and culture of that time. Since its beginnings in the early 2000s, B289 has evolved into a key subculture within the VW community, focusing on restoring and honouring classic VW show cars from the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Established at last year’s event, the display makes a return thanks to Stu Betty, the man behind the B289 Club. The Robins Hall will showcase 10 ex-show stars and classic VolksWorld feature cars from this cherished era.
In addition to this standout display, the show will feature the Concours Collection with 30 top air-cooled VW builds, a 75th-anniversary tribute to the Type 2, a Beach Buggy display, a retro BMX showcase and camper vans of all eras on the VWT Summer Lawn, plus a car park show and shine sponsored by Meguiar’s. Family-friendly activities, meanwhile, include a fun fair for kids.
Air-cooled VW owners can participate in the show with individual display tickets available for just £10, which includes entry for the driver and one passenger. Camping options start at £30.
