Beaulieu will kick off a new season of its popular Simply events with Simply Aston Martin on April 5. Over 300 cars are set to be gathered in the grounds the National Motor Museum for the show, which is open to every age and variety of the prestigious British marque.

Three major Aston anniversaries will be celebrated as 2020 marks 70 years of the DB2, 15 years of the revitalised V8 Vantage and 10 years of the four-door Rapide, with a special display area being set aside for all three. They’ll be joined by a wide variety of Aston Martins both classic and modern, while members of the Aston Martin Owners Club will also be out in force.

Throughout the day, attendees can vote for their favourite Aston Martin of the show in the People’s Choice Award, with the winner receiving a Beaulieu trophy. Visitors can also head inside the National Motor Museum to see the 1922 Aston Martin 1.5-litre Strasbourg, one of just two built in the early days of the company to take part in the 1922 French Grand Prix.

Following Simply Aston Martin, Beaulieu will host ten more Simply events in 2020 catering for a wide range of marques including Audi, Ford, Porsche, Land Rover, VW, Mercedes-Benz and Smart. Taking place for the first time will be Simply Electric, which is scheduled for May 24.

In addition, there’s the famous International Autojumble, which takes place on September 5-6. As well as hosting over 2000 stands of rare parts and automobilia bargains, this year’s event will include a special Forgotten Favourites display – a celebration of the once common classics of the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s.

The nostalgia-fuelled display is set to evoke memories of family holidays, driving lessons, baking hot vinyl seats and beige colour schemes. Owners who would like to take part in Forgotten Favourites should get in touch with the Beaulieu events team to be considered – places are limited and show entry is free for vehicles that are accepted. Successful owners will receive a pair of three-day entry wristbands for International Autojumble.

For event-goers, modern classics are sure to be well represented – especially with the Austin Metro and Fiat Panda both reaching their 40th birthdays in 2020. However, all forgotten rides are welcomed. To apply for Forgotten Favourites or buy tickets for Beaulieu events, visit www.beaulieu.co.uk/events or call 01590 614614.
