Three luxury cars dubbed the ‘Aristocars’ from episode four of the latest Top Gear series are to go on show as part of  the World of Top Gear exhibition at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.

Presenters Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid were challenged to buy a second-hand car for the same price as the UK’s cheapest new car, a £6000 Dacia Sandero. LeBlanc chose a 1988 Bentley Turbo R, while Harris went for a 1992 Mercedes 600 SEL and Reid a 1975 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. After challenges, the cars were stripped of their interior fittings, modified and entered into the Birkett Six-Hour Relay Race at Silverstone, with the Mercedes transformed into tribute to the famous Works AMG famous ‘Red Pig’ 300 SEL from 1971.

The World of Top Gear is included in a general admission ticket to Beaulieu. See www.beaulieu.co.uk.
