A nostalgia-fuelled Beaulieu Autojumble 2020 is set to mark various milestone anniversaries when it takes place on May 16-17, with car clubs hosting celebratory displays alongside more than 1000 stands of classic car parts and automobilia in the grounds of the National Motor Museum.
With the Saab 96 celebrating both its 60th birthday and 40 years since the end of production, the Saab Enthusiasts Club will pay tribute to the long-running rally favourite. Examples of the 96 will be joined by a wide array of vehicles produced by the Swedish manufacturer from 1960 up to the marque’s demise.
Meanwhile, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Austin A30 & A35 Owners’ Club will gather a colourful collection of A30s and A35s in Beaulieu’s parkland. And from the Morris stable, Moggyfest will return by popular demand with a packed display of Morris Minors and contemporary classics. It will be organised by the Dorset Branch of the Morris Minor Owners’ Club, which celebrates its 40th birthday this year.
In addition, a new feature for this year will be Retro Village. This will offer period-perfect paraphernalia, from clothing and fashions to collectables, accessories, vintage homewares, music and more.
For those planning more substantial purchases, a range of classics will also be on sale in Automart and Dealermart on both days. The popular Land Rover Rummage will take place on the Sunday only, as will Trunk Traders – a treasure trove of surplus spares, tools, books and automobilia sold from the back of cars.
One-day and two-day Spring Beaulieu Autojumble 2020 tickets include access to the whole Beaulieu attraction and can be bought online – discounted advance rates are available until 5pm on Thursday May 7. See www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/spring-autojumble for all booking details.
