The Rover Sports Register, the active club for all Rovers that was founded in 1953, are holding their national rally in North Yorkshire at Newby Hall near Ripon (HG4 5AE) on Sunday 24th June.

Newby Hall is just off the A1, with the Yorkshire Dales to the west and the Vale of York and the North York Moors to the east. This is the setting of James Herriot’s All Creatures Great and Small with truly wonderful and varied scenery. The Hall itself, designed under the guidance of St. Christopher Wren, epitomises the Georgian ‘age of elegance’ with its beautiful interior and award winning gardens, so if you should ever tire of admiring the cars (perish the thoughts), there is still so much to do.

The event is open to all Rovers, Land Rovers and Range Rovers from 1904 to the present. No pre-booking is necessary, simply turn up and enter on the day. There is also a class for non-Rover classics. More information is available at The Rover Sports Register.
