A great and varied turn-out of classics helped to further light up a gloriously sunny Classic and Sports Cars by the Lake.
Taking place at Hall Farm in Fornham St Martin near Bury St Edmunds for the ninth time, the event has been running since 2010, with proceeds going to a local hospice care charity.
The show has grown year-upon-year, with demand for club stand space particularly high. In all over 700 cars were present, from pre-War vehicles right up to the current-model supercars and everything from a Trabant to the latest Bentley Bentayga SUV. The event drew a strong attendance too, buoyed by the appearance of special guest Rick Parfitt Jnr, reigning British GT champion and the son of late Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt.
A prize giving ceremony hosted by Rick was joined by a charity auction, with lots including a day out as part of his racing team and a Saab 9-3 Convertible, donated for the event and sold for over £1000. In all, the event has raised in excess of a quarter of million pounds over its nine outings for St Nicolas Hospice Care, which is based in Bury St Edmunds.
