    In sharp contrast to last year’s ‘Beast from the East’, the weather was unseasonably mild at the first Morris Leslie classic auction of the year in Tayside. This certainly warmed the hearts of the large crowd of buyers, who had over 150 lots to bid on.

    Charterhouse’s maiden 2019 auction took place as part of the Footman James Great Western Car Show, held at the Royal Bath and West Showground near Shepton Mallet on February 10. Over 40 vehicles passed under the hammer in this afternoon, following a busy motorcycle sale at midday.

    The Morris Leslie auction on February 23 will be presenting nearly 90 cars ranging from pre-war to modern classics. There’s a fine showing of British machinery, a good few specialist Germans, and a handful of Japanese. The auction goes live in Kinross, Scotland from 11:00 until 15:00 on that Saturday February 23.

    SWVA's first Classic Vehicle Auction of 2019 took place on Friday January 25, with a very healthy crowd gathering at its Poole base. Of the 68 cars put under the hammer, an impressive 93 per cent found new owners.
