Classic Car Auctions (CCA) is offering first time classic car buyers the opportunity to purchase an entry-level 1979 Ford Fiesta 1300S at its September Sale at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre on Saturday 23rd September.
With a tiny mileage of 5,693 miles and 11 years spent in storage, the classic Fiesta will be offered at the auction with ‘No Reserve’ as an entry-level project car with plenty of seventies nostalgia and driving still to be had from Ford’s sporty, baby hot-hatch.
Finished in gold with ‘1300S’ decals, the car retains its original brown, chevron design cloth interior, as well as a quirky ‘HAY 44V’ registration plate, and even a tow bar. An old tax disc in the window dated 2006 is the year the car is believed to have last been on the road, having been parked-up indefinitely when its only, elderly lady owner gave up driving.
The electrics and 1299cc Kent engine are in good running order, requiring minimal work to be returned to the road.
The Fiesta 1300S is one of 11 cars to be offered at ‘No Reserve’ at CCA’s September Sale, which also includes a charming 1959 Ford 100E Prefect in good running condition, which with some love and care could be a show-stopping,fifties icon.
“This sporty little classic Fiesta is the ideal ‘starter’ classic for new or virgin classic car buyers, as is the 1959 Ford Prefect,” explains Richard Greenhalgh, classic car specialist, CCA. “Buying a classic car doesn’t have to be eye-wateringly expensive and this Fiesta will make for a fun project, as well as being great fun to drive!”
Other ‘No Reserve’ cars available on the day include a two owner, appreciating 1989 BMW E30 325I SE, a former Concours d’Elegance awarded 1964 Triumph Spitfire 4 Mk1, a very well presented 1991 Volkswagen Golf GTI MKII and a 1970 MG Midget entry level racer.
“CCA is the perfect place to come for anyone interested in going into classic car ownership. We have a huge variety of cars ranging from No Reserve up to £50,000 plus, and we encourage anyone with a love of cars to come and take a look around,” concludes Richard.
