WB & Sons will host its final sale of 2025 on December 6, with another eclectic mix of established and modern classics at its Newcastle base
The catalogue for WB & Sons’ next sale was still building at the time of writing but already contained a host of alluring rarities.
Among these, the most notable is surely a 1976 Vauxhall Magnum Sports Hatch described as being in spectacular condition, which carries a £20,000-£30,000 estimate. A little cheaper but no doubt very rapid is a 1983 Chevette with a 2.0-litre XE ‘red top’ conversion, while for those after a more sedate Griffin, there’s a very smart 1967 Victor FC estate.
A more modern collectible is a 2005 Audi TT Quattro Sport, which is one of 800 built and carries a £10,000-£12,000 guide. Two years its junior is another VAG product in the shape of a 2007 Skoda vRS, a one owner from new example of the run-out SE model in metallic Race Blue. This one is number 228 from 1000 made, and is guided at £3500-£4500.
Upping the prestige somewhat are no fewer than five Bentleys, including a T1 and a couple of S2s. The star, however, has to be a 2006 Bentley Azure Convertible, which shows only 39,000 miles and could go for as much as £70,000. Meanwhile, £50,000-£55,000 could be enough to secure a 1991 Ferrari 348 TB that shows a mere 30,000 miles.
Traditional classics from the early ’70s include a 1971 Jensen Interceptor Mk2 that’s guided ta £22,000-£26,000, while a similar £20,000-£25,000 estimate could buy a Datsun 240Z from the same year, in desirable right-hand drive guise. There’s a 1976 Fiat 126 too, which is joined by two other classic Fiats – a 1969 Fiat Sport Coupe guided at £7000-£9000, and a stunning 1967 850 Spider, which is predicted to change hands for £10,000-£12,000.
Should you fancy a Volkswagen, there’s at least six to choose from. A lovely 1966 Karmann Ghia that’s been subtly customised could fetch as much as £16,000, and there’s two Mk2 Golf GTIs among the line up too. In addition, a 1993 Golf Mk3 VR6 will also be offered. It’s been fully resprayed in an unusual shade of green, but it’s a very tidy car and looks well worthy of its £3000-£5000 guide.
With a Smart Fortwo Brabus, various Land Rovers, a Mini Thirty and even a 1/4 -scale Renault Magnum truck on the entry list too, there’s something for all tastes. For the full catalogue see wbandsons.com
