Anglia Car Auctions returns to classic action across the weekend of August 30-31 with one of its richest two-day schedules to date
Around 275 classic cars are set to go under the hammer at ACA’s next sale, with automobilia included on Saturday, plus classic motorcycles on Sunday.
From nostalgic city-runabouts to rare grand tourers and iconic sports cars, the catalogue includes something for everyone. There are some interesting lesser-spotted German models from the early ’60s, with a 1961 Borgward P100 estimated at £12,000-£15,000 joined by a 1961 DKW F11 Junior from the same year, which is a rare right-hand drive example guided at £6000-£8000. Meanwhile, you’ll find a quartet of BMWs including a 1999 Z3M Coupe that could fetch £25,000, and at least 13 Mercedes-Benz are poised to go under the hammer too. –
France is also well represented with some real rarities. A Peugeot 309 GTI from 1991 is guided at £6000-£8000, with a 1991 205 Gentry estimated at £6000-£8000 and a 1989 205 XS offered with no reserve. There’s also a humble Renault 11 TL with no reserve, as well as a Fuego Turbo. We can’t remember the last time we saw one, making the £2750-£3750 estimate look very tempting.
As for Italian classics, you’ll find several of those too. A 1969 Fiat 124 Sport could be yours for a predicted £7000-£9000, with a 1979 X1/9 that’s seemingly in superb order guided at £10,000-£15,000. There’s also room for not but two Lancia Beta Spiders.
Naturally, there are plenty of traditional Brits on offer. At least seven Morris Minors will go under the hammer – four of them Travellers – as will a Mk2 Mini Cooper S estimated at a very attractive £20,000-£25,000. A whopping 17 Rovers spanning the generations are listed too, and there are numerous British Fords, with a host of early Cortinas including two rare Mk2 Estates.
Meanwhile, there seems to a run on base model Blue Ovals from the early ’90s, with a 1991 Mk5 Escort L joined by a 1990 Fiesta Bonus. Skipping forward, a 2002 Fiesta Flight that’s covered just 235 miles is guided at £8000-£10,000, and a 2001 Ford Focus Zetec with only 2237 miles showing is estimated at £3750-£4750.
With further lots including a modified Toyota Hi-Lux, an Aston Martin DBS 6, various commercials, a Smart Crossblade and a bright orange Mini Moke, we’re expected a busy couple of days in Norfolk. For the full catalogue see angliacarauctions.co.uk
