Ford Mustang 1966 V8 302 Automatic . Very High specification throughout. Recently restored by Plgrim Motorsports and still in excellent condition throughout . . This Mustang spent most of its life in Texas and then was imported to the U.K. to a father and Son team who wanted a rust-free example to restore. They were amazed by the outstanding condition the body was in, and they spent a great deal of time preparing the entire under body for painting in a fresh coat of black paint and this was then given a carefully applied coat of clear Waxoyl which has protected the floors and chassis very well. They had also upgraded to power disc front brakes and the power steering had also been restored. They had also spent a great deal of time and money on the interior, as you can see it has this outstanding new Blue/white pony seats and interior, new carpets, new headlining, new dash, new gauges, sun visors and new Bluetooth stereo and speakers. The finish of the interior is superb. A new chrome retro style Mustang Bluetooth stereo has also been installed. Unfortunately, due to circumstances not under their control the Mustang had to be sold and Pilgrim completed the work. They re-painted the whole carand engine bay . The body was a rust-free example, but the paint had gone flat and oxidised after all years being of being baked in the Texan Sun. Fiinished in Kingfisher blue , its now a stunning looking example. Shelby type front spoiler, rear spoiler, and the side vents were added . They also installed a brand-new crate Ford 302 V8 engine from Blueprint Engines U.S.A. mapped with the automatic gearbox sets up for an all-round fabulous driving car. Since the purchase of the car for £40,000,the last owner has invested a further £15,000 in other improvements mainly carried out at the Mustang Workshop, including : American Racing alloys wheels with new tyres New suspension , including new leaf springs and Koni shock absorbers. New transmission band adjuster nuts installed. Upgraded to a 1” front sway bar kit. New transmission stone guard fitted. Cooling system fully flushed. New aluminium radiator installed. New electric cooling fan fitted. New electric fan controller installed. Coolant replaced. New transmission inhibitor switch fitted. New stainless steel H-pipe exhaust system with Flowmaster Super 10 back boxes. New E10-compliant rubber fuel hoses and clips installed. New fuel filter fitted. New rocker covers installed. New ignition barrel and switch fitted. New battery cut-off switch installed. New bonnet cables installed. Rear axle refurbished. This is an excellent example, of a first generation Mustang , with the right options , that drives really well . We would happily take another classic car or anything interesting in part exchange .
