The VW chassis, suspension and gearbox were used to produce what you see today replicating the shape of the famous Type 35 Bugatti, It even has heated seats. Correctly registered as a Volkswagen CRC (Classic Replica Car). The 1600cc engine was rebuilt when installed with new barrels and heads, bearings, carb and distributor and it has only covered around 8,600 miles since, as shown by the MOT history. Dropped spindles and disc brakes have been fitted to the front suspension and an anti sway device has been fitted to the rear swing axle which improves the handling. Accompanying the car is a large history folder containing lots of bills invoices and old mot certificates as well as the original assembly manual. Turning heads wherever it goes it drives great and is a great bit of fun and not for the shy and retiring types. It is also worth noting that the number plate is transferable, according the V5C, and is very valuable in its own right.
