A very rare opportunity to acquire a Ford Starcraft, the unusual six-wheel camper conversion produced by Spartan Cars Ltd between 1986 and 1992.

This vehicle is based on a 1980 Ford Cortina Ghia 2.3 V6 automatic, featuring the original Cortina running gear on a bespoke steel chassis and topped with a distinctive fibreglass Starcraft camper body. Only one of the twin rear axles is driven.

The conversion began in 1991 and the bodywork was completed to a high standard. The interior remains unfinished, offering the new owner the chance to complete it to their own specification or preserve it as a period display vehicle.

It has covered just 56,810 miles from new and has not been on the road since 1990. The fibreglass body is in excellent condition with no major cracks, the underside is solid, and there is only minor, cosmetic rust.

Around 200 Starcrafts were ever produced, making this an exceptionally rare survivor. It represents a fascinating piece of 1980s British motoring history and an ideal light restoration project for the enthusiast or collector seeking something genuinely unique.
