The first ACA sale of 2025 got the year of to a strong start, finding new homes for the vast majority of the 250-plus cars, bikes and lots of automobilia that crossed the blocks

British classics enjoyed a great sale, with a 1963 Vauxhall FB Victor exceeding its £4000-£6000 guide to sell for £6372, and a running recommissioning project in the form of a 1975 Triumph 2000 Estate selling without reserve for an impressive £8640. Several of the Minis included also beat their estimates, as a charming Cumberland Green 1965 Wolseley Hornet that sold for £4104. As for open-top cars, the cold didn’t stop a series of MGs from performing well, with a 1946 MG TC beating its upper estimate by more than £6000 to fetch £16,632, a 1954 TF reaching £18,576 and a 1968 MGC roadster topping its upper guide to make £20,520. Being January, it was no surprise that 4x4s proved popular, and most exceeded their estimates. A 1966 Land Rover Series 2A sold above its lower guide for £9288, with a later 1970 2A – this time a 109-inch Station Wagon – making £4752 and a 1998 Range Rover P38A 4.6 V8 selling without reserve for £3888. Elsewhere, a remarkably tidy 1995 Vauxhall Frontera Sport with stacks of history sold for £2268, while a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport that included all manner of off-roading adornments looked something of a bargain for £4644, and a similar outlay of £4860 bought a 1997 Mitsubishi Shogun V6 SWB.

It was also a good day for sportier modern classics, including a 1998 Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo with just 48,000 miles showing, which flew past its £4500-£5500 guide to fetch £7128, while a 2005 Audi TT V6 Roadster with the desirable DSG gearbox beat its lower estimate to sell for £4752. A sum of £3240 also changed hands for a 1993 Toyota Previa GL, proving there really was something for everyone.
