Tolman – purveyor of Peugeot 205 GTi restomods – has released a new alloy wheel inspired by the 205 T16 homologation special

Rugby-based motorsport engineering firm Tolman has already made a name for itself creating its award-winning Tolman Edition series of Peugeot 205 GTi restomods and has since turned its attention to bespoke off-the-shelf performance parts for the iconic hot hatch.

Its newest offering is a bespoke alloy wheel named the Mille Laghi, a twelve-hole, two-piece 15-inch wheel made in Italy and inspired by those fitted to the Peugeot 205 T16, the French manufacturer’s famous Group B rally car and corresponding homologation road car.

Tolman says the increased diameter of the new wheel (from 14 inches on a standard 205 GTi to 15 inches) allows owners to choose from a larger range of high-performance tyres, while the use of 6082 T6 aluminium billet and ‘advanced simulation’ combines to make the wheel 20 per cent stronger, 1kg lighter and more resistant to corrosion than standard.

Tolman also claims that precision machining helps to make its wheel ‘significantly less susceptible to vibration’, as well as creating less road noise.

The Tolman Mille Laghi is built to order, finished in titanium silver as standard but with other colours available. Prices start from £1200 per wheel excluding VAT.
