To fill the void left by the lack of Festival of Speed and Revival this year, Goodwood is set to combine elements from both events into its one-off Goodwood Speedweek, which is set to make its debut at the West Sussex circuit on October 16-18.
The pioneering three-day festival will be held behind closed doors and available to view for free. On the track, some of the most valuable cars in the world are set to do battle, driven by a glittering line-up of famous faces.
Embracing the lack of spectators will be the inaugural Goodwood Gymkhana, a rallying contest that will take over the site and see entrants competing in ordinarily out-of-bounds places. Bonhams will be holding an auction on the Saturday, with a one-lap, never-to-be-repeated, winner-takes-all shootout also on the cards on the Sunday. With some very fast modern machinery competing, the lap record could be smashed.
The entire event is to be optimised for broadcasting, and will be shown via the Goodwood’s Road & Racing website, social channels and a range of broadcast partners.

Speedweek will be a once-in-a-lifetime occasion – the fastest, most exciting and spectacular event we have ever staged.
“An event unlike any that’s gone before, Goodwood Speedweek will be a fitting celebration of the spirit of the Festival of Speed and Revival, both of which will return, bigger and better than ever, in 2021.”
