For those who fancy learning a new skill this spring, the British Motor Museum’s motoring-related workshops in March, April and May could offer the perfect opportunity.
‘Is a Classic Car for you?’ takes place on April 4 and is a hands-on, informative day aimed at those who wish to buy and own a classic car. The team will deliver guidance on the theory of car ownership and provide basic practical workshop-based maintenance sessions. There will also be the opportunity to ride in a variety of classic cars. The cost is £95 per person.
‘Living with a Classic’ follows with part one on April 18 and part two on May 16, offering classic car owners the opportunity to develop new skills, learn from the team and share stories with fellow owners. Covering maintenance, paintwork cosmetics and fault-finding, this course is held in the museum’s state-of-the-art restoration workshop and costs £80 per person.
For those interested in photography, the museum is offering two workshops. ‘Car Photography Introductory Workshop’ on March 8 is aimed at the aspiring amateur photographer and costs £55 per person, while ‘Lights, Camera…Cars’ on March 22 focuses on developing lighting skills for those more advanced. The cost is £80 per person.
