Entries are now open for the Reis Pride of the Paddock competition, held as part of the Reis Race Retro event at Stoneleigh Park from February 21-23. Private owners are invited to display their competition cars from all motorsport disciplines at the show, with visitors set to pick their favourite.
Those vehicles welcomed into the Reis Pride of the Paddock will be displayed at the heart of the show in Hall 3 alongside the prestigious Hall of Fame and Reis Live Stage. Up to 16 vehicles will be invited onto the carpet, which will also give the owners a front row seat to the celebrity guests appearing over the three-days.
The winner and two runners up all receive trophies and a year’s free private motor insurance from Reis up to the value of £250 (T&Cs apply). The overall winner will also be offered the chance to display their car at the entrance of the 2021 show – as well as the obvious bragging rights.
Show Director Lee Masters said: “We introduced the Pride of the Paddock three years ago, and with every year, the standard and pedigree of vehicles has grown and grown. With support from Reis, we decided to bring this into the centre of the show so the cars can be showcased alongside other iconic vehicles of the same calibre.”
All cars must have competed in a motorsport event since their manufacture and be made or emulate a vehicle dated pre-2000. All owners featured in the competition will receive two tickets for each of the show days, free parking throughout and a commemorative certificate.
Andrew Evanson, Senior Operations Manager at Reis Motorsport Insurance, said: “The Pride of Paddock display always showcases outstanding cars with a great history, and we’re thrilled to be supporting the competition for the first time in 2020.”
To enter, download the entry form at www.raceretro.com/pride-paddock and return it with two pictures of the car by January 19, 2020.
