Over 1400 classic vehicles ranging from motorcycles to 10-wheelers are expected at the 46th annual Historic Vehicle Gathering, held at Powderham Castle near Exeter in Devon. Organised by the Crash Box and Classic Car Club, the two-day Devon event takes place in the castle’s scenic parkland over the weekend of July 13-14.
The line-up of vehicles on show will cover over 100 years of motoring, and will include a ‘Modern Classics’ display for saloons, sports cars and hot-hatches built from the mid-1980s until 1999. Add in one of the largest gatherings of steamers, classic motorcycles, commercial vehicles and club displays in the South West and there should be something to for all tastes.
Each year various local charities are supported, with this year’s chosen charities being British Red Cross Devon, Living Options Devon and Age Concern Crediton and District. In 2018 a total of £20,000 was donated to local charities.
