British Motor Heritage will be one of the major sponsors of the 2019 International Mini Meet (IMM), which is this year being held at Washingpool Farm near Bristol over the weekend of August 8-12.
The Mini will also be the focus of BMH’s Goodwood Revival stand on September 12-15, with a selection of bodyshells and complete vehicles set to be present at both events. Among the vehicles on display are likely to be the company’s own immaculately restored 1275 Cooper S and its FIA Cooper S race car, which both feature the Mk1 replacement shells recently added to the company’s portfolio.
Having acquired the original Mini tooling in 2002, BMH is in pole position when it comes to producing replacement bodyshells and individual panels to the correct specification. So far it has produced thousands of panels and no fewer than 773 complete Mini bodyshells.
Indeed, the Witney-based firm has helped to keep thousands of classics on the road. With the various MGB models and the Sprite/Midget added to the mix, the number of bodyshells produced by BMH so far totals 6111, and counting. In addition, it also produces replacement panels for the Jaguar E-Type and classic Range Rover, as well the Morris Minor, Triumph TR6, Spitfire, GT6 and Stag.
